YouthBuilders get Trained!

PUSH and WNY Americorps recently teamed up to bring the YouthBuild program to the West Side of Buffalo. YouthBuild lets young people between the ages of 16-25 to get on the job construction training, get their GED, and a chance to earn money for college, all while receiving a bi-weekly stipend.

 

 

The YouthBuilders are currently undergoing construction training at the Buffalo Public Schools Adult Education Center and will start working on a PUSH project, 10 Winter St. , on October 20th.

 

 

PUSH is excited to have local youth rebuilding their own neighborhood while greatly improving their job prospects. We look forward to continuing this partnership with WNY Americorps and can't wait to see all the great work the crew does!
