PUSH Blue Enterprise Manager (EM)

About the position:

The PUSH Blue Enterprise Manager (EM) oversees the development of PUSH Blue’s expanding green infrastructure, stormwater management, and sustainable landscaping social justice enterprise business. The EM will be responsible for overseeing existing stormwater management projects, creation of educational material surrounding best practices, and development of new lines of business.

Push Green Program Assistant

About the position:

The Program Assistant provides clerical and planning support to program staff. Provides support on a one-on-one working relationship. The Program Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to PUSH Green. The Program Assistant requires the ability to multitask, a familiarity with basic office procedures, and strong interpersonal skills. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. Obtaining knowledge of Energy efficiency programs and housing resources. The Program Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

About the position:

he ideal candidate should bring a passion for social justice work and creating change. They should be able to speak English but possessing fluency in speaking other languages spoken in PUSH’s primary organizing area including Karen, Burmese, Thai, Arabic, Somali, Swahili, Spanish is very helpful. The candidate should be comfortable with building relationships. That is, they should be outgoing, comfortable with some public speaking, comfortable with meeting new people, and able to lift at least 50 lbs. The candidate should have a basic proficiency with social media, and above average proficiency with using the personal computer and the MAC which includes the use of Microsoft Word. Candidates with experience in using VAN or Voter Action Network software will be considered.

Senior Community Development Project Manager

About the position:

The Project Manager (PM) will be a key member of BNSC’s affordable housing and community development team. In this role, the PM will be responsible to work on creation of new affordable housing developments and management of community development programs The Senior PM will also partner with the Director of Planning and Community Development to focus on new projects, new business lines, and the existing pipeline. BNSC’s current work includes a variety of residential and commercial projects from small residential rehabilitations, to a sustainable mixed-use workforce training center, to infill and new build development. BNSC and PUSH’s current portfolio of affordable housing includes over 100 units of affordable housing on several sites, 11 units currently under construction, and approximately 46 units of supportive and affordable housing in pre-development.

Community Energy Advisor

The Community Energy Advisor (CEA) facilitates awareness of and connects customers to appropriate NYSERDA and non-NYSERDA (e.g. utility programs, HEAP, PUSH Green, etc.) energy efficiency and clean energy programs and resources, steps to participate in the programs, program financing, program benefits, and contractor participation and responsibilities. The CEA advocates for and supports clients as they seek to access programs and services.

Community Data and Logistics Organizer

About the position:

PUSH Buffalo’s Community Data Organizer will focus on building systems and structures to hold the vast range of qualitative and quantitative data community organizing generates across different platforms and hold logistical responsibilities for the Organizing Department. The Community Data Organizer will play an integral role within the Organizing Department to streamline the input and use of the many forms of data that we collect through our different campaigns, events, and projects throughout the year. Data and logistics are key to how we build power for a Just Transition in Buffalo, NY and throughout the country. This position will deepen our ability to make meaning of the stories, ideas, visions and information we take in day to day and will better shape our current and future campaigns and leadership development processes.
