The Facilities Manager is responsible for the general maintenance and oversight of the physical assets, facilities, and properties. This includes all aspects of building operations and logistics for PUSH’s business offices, community rooms and shared public spaces. Primary duties include the assurance of cleanliness, safety, security, and proper programming of PUSH on-site activities. This includes following proper code compliance and monitoring on-site energy management

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities of this position include:
•Maintain, perform, and oversee day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating, completing and/or following up on maintenance orders.

• Monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces.
• Perform routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs, as needed.
• Perform and/or oversee unit turnovers and ready units for rental.
• Oversee daily workflow, scheduling, assignments and performance of supervisee(s) and equipment.
• Delegate cleaning, maintenance, and appropriate tasks to team members.
• Ensure that basic facilities, such as water and heating, are well-maintained conducting proactive and as-needed maintenance.
• Assist with emergency response planning for PUSH facilities and properties (COVID-19, inclement weather, etc.)
• Coordinate programming of conference rooms, gymnasium, community spaces at School 77 (S77) and other PUSH sites (including 271 Grant Street, 456 Massachusetts Community Room and any other PUSH-owned community spaces)
• Ensuring proper security measures for facilities and properties, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals
• Schedule routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
• Ensure that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.
• Maintain an active, appropriate workforce of maintenance, cleaning and safety professionals.
• Inspect properties and facilities proactively and as needed.
• Dispatch building and equipment malfunctions/concerns to appropriate vendor and/or teams.
• Assist with on-site event coordination on an as needed basis.
• Works closely with the Property Manager to walk and inspect properties to monitor, including vacant apartments, model apartments, exterior lighting, landscaping, pavement conditions, etc. Report action items to Director of Housing.
• Assist with managing and delegating tasks to the PUSH “Welcome Committee”.
• Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions.
• Collaborate with Director of Housing, communicating budget needs for facilities and providing recommendations for purchases related to maintenance and usage of facilities and properties.

This is a supervisory position.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:
• Five (5) years’ related maintenance, site supervisory or other related work experience.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience managing and/or dispatching a team.
• High School Diploma, Equivalent or and/or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing facilities, equipment, and events required.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and familiar with work order systems key.
• A proactive, creative, and flexible attitude.
• Willing to work evening and weekend hours, as necessary.
• Previous direct supervisory experience is preferred.
• A valid NYS driver’s license and access to reliable private transportation is required.
• Must reside in Buffalo, NY area, able to work on site at least five (5) days per week.
• Proactive team player, flexible & enthusiastic self-starter who can work independently.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Strong dispatch skills and follow-through necessary.
• Strong interpersonal, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Bilingual/bicultural a plus. (Spanish language proficiency is a plus)

The starting pay range for this position, to be determined by combination of education, experience, and skill level, is:

• $55,000-60,000 per year
