The Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Sustainability Campaign Coordinator position include:

  • Maintain day to day operations, including outreach, event planning and execution, and creation of milestone reports for PUSH Sustainability, PUSH Green and Community Energy Campaigns, including Clean Heating and Cooling Campaign and PUSH for Clean Heat.
  • Support the merging of the Clean Heating and Cooling Communities work as it merges with the Western New York Regional Clean Energy Hub. Provide decarbonization community education and resources for and during community outreach events across Erie, Allegany, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Niagara counties.
  • Schedule, plan and facilitate community meetings and events around decarbonization activities.
  • Execute the Out of Gas Pilot Program and complete outreach.
  • Track the generation on PUSH solar arrays weekly using online software platforms, provided reports and Excel.
  • Work with PUSH Property Management and outside partners to compile contact database.
  • Complete outreach to all tenants over the phone, in-person, and/or via email to document energy consumption and utility costs.
  • Work with technical assistance providers (TAP) as needed and new PUSH solar assets coming online to develop the community solar program with the Director of Sustainability.
  • Assist in scaling, as possible, by adapting program offerings, including new program offerings, and scaling number of off-takers.
  • Assist with data/contact gathering for potential expansion of community solar activities, and all new intakes if an opportunity becomes available.
  • Coordinate delivery of contract(s) with Energy Allies around community solar participants & community working group.

 

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience working in decarbonization, community energy, sustainability and/or environmental justice.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • At least one (1) year of data entry, database management or comparable experience.
  • At least two (2) years of customer service or comparable experience.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data imperative.
    • Ability to learn/apply this skill to energy costs and renewable energy technology.
  • Familiarity with or ability to learn within 6-12 months of onboarding the following relevant areas:
    • Business development or social enterprise
    • Program or project development and/or management
    • Affordable Housing or other housing management
    • Use of social media as part of an outreach strategy
    • Education tactics and techniques to share information to diverse populations.
  • A proactive, creative, and flexible attitude.
  • Alignment with PUSH’s mission for intersectional approaches to racial, social, economic, gender and environmental justice.
  • Alignment with PUSH’s vision for operating within the principles of a Just Transition.
  • Strong organization skills, including good attention to detail and follow through.
  • Skilled at establishing priorities and managing multi-project workload.
  • Ability to be flexible, self-start and work independently.
  • Willing to work evening and weekend hours, as necessary.
  • Previous direct supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Must have a valid NYS driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Bilingual/bicultural a plus. Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

 

The salary range for this position, starting salary to be determined by combination of education, experience, and skill level, is :

$19.00 – $21.00 per hour
