Cooperation Buffalo Hosts: Film Screening – “The Take”

Cooperation Buffalo is hosting a screening of the 2004 documentary film “The Take,” By Naomi Klein and Avi Lewis. The film tells the story of workers in Buenos Aires, Argentina who reclaim control of a closed Ford auto plant where they once worked and turn it into a worker cooperative. The inspiring story of these workers shows the power of collective ownership and democratic management of our workplaces, and encourages us to rethink economic development “solutions” that give control and profit away to companies that don’t have our back.

The screening will be at School 77 in the Ujima Theatre, on Wednesday Feb 26th at 6pm, free and open to the public, with a discussion after the film.
