Sarah Burger graduated from Knox College with a degree in Environmental Studies, and her work after has focused on people and their homes. Previously, she has worked in residential rehabilitation, focusing on weatherization and accessibility repairs. Later, she worked on completing green certifications for affordable housing developments. At PUSH, as the Director of Sustainability, she focuses on equitable decarbonization and on the ground implementation of the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act. This work includes managing PUSH’s existing solar arrays and planning for future ones, identifying processes to decarbonize affordable housing while addressing energy burden, and launching a community solar subscription program.
